From Photo to Portrait
I paint professional portraits from a photo. A portrait painting is so much more personal than a blown up photo or a print. Send me a photo to paint and I will hand paint it in the traditional way on quality box canvas with either acrylics or oils. When I have finished the whole process and the varnish is dry, I will send it back to you. This process usually only takes a couple of weeks, depending on the work involved. My paintings are of excellent quality and ready to hang. It's as simple as that. The portrait paintings below are examples of my work. The first painting is Opie from the American series Sons of Anarchy, the second is a commissioned little girl portrait and the third is a commissioned Harley Fat Boy. As you can see, the photo is on top and my painting is underneath the photo. I try to capture as much likeness and detail as possible, while still allowing it to remain a personal painting of my subject.
